Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Environmental and Permitting team is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant Manager to lead complex regulatory initiatives for power and industrial projects. You will drive growth by expanding markets, managing multi-disciplinary projects, and shaping win themes in proposals and interviews.

You will mentor junior staff, oversee regulatory studies, and coordinate with clients, agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MS preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in environmental compliance, environmental impact assessment, and/or permitting for complex industrial and power related projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the power industry, including coordination among internal engineering teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.
• Proven ability to support business development by growing client relationships, identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals and interviews, and expanding the environmental services footprint.
• Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations: NEPA, Endangered Species Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and implement federal, state and local environmental regulatory requirements for power and industrial projects.
• Lead growth by developing target markets, strategic pursuits and expanding key accounts.
• Drive proposal development, including SOQs, interviews, win themes, and schedules.
• Mentor and develop junior environmental staff and promote knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and project success.
