Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Sr Environmental Specialist I to guide air compliance at the Wood River refinery in Roxana, IL. You will interpret regulations, coordinate with operations, and lead permitting activities to keep facilities compliant and safe.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross‑functional teams, regulators, and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve environmental performance while handling complex permit conditions and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of air compliance experience required.
• Familiarity with EPA Title V, NSR/PSD, NESHAPS, NSPS, MACT and related rules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air compliance and regulatory support for refinery operations.
• Interpret permit conditions and provide practical guidance to operations and teams.
• Lead air permitting activities including Title V, construction permits, and amendments.
• Monitor emissions tracking, recordkeeping, and reporting for compliance.
• Support inspections, audits, and regulator interactions; close findings and implement actions.
