Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Sr Specialist II, Environmental at its Lake Charles Refinery in Westlake, LA. The role focuses on coordinating field environmental assessments, leading multi-media compliance programs, and guiding teams to meet evolving regulatory requirements.

You’ll collaborate with site staff and regulators to strengthen safety, environmental performance, and continuous improvement. The position requires 5+ years of experience with environmental regulations, a valid driver’s license,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience working with state and federal environmental regulations and/or permitting across multiple media
• Experience in refining or heavy industrial operations applying environmental regulations
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and ability to develop and improve programs
• Experience leading environmental audits and corrective actions
• Excellent communication of technical/regulatory information to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field assessments to ensure compliance with standards and permits
• Oversee environmental programs across media including air, water, wastewater, and waste
• Plan and manage environmental audits, investigations, and corrective actions
• Monitor health, safety, and environmental metrics and recommend improvements
• Provide guidance on environmental requirements to operations and maintenance teams
• Collect and interpret environmental data and prepare regulatory submittals
• Design and improve environmental programs in line with regulations and best practices
• Coordinate inspections with regulatory agencies and manage permit processes
