Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior Environmental Site Assessor to conduct on-site Phase I ESA and Phase II subsurface investigations, identifying RECs and environmental concerns in accordance with ASTM and client standards on complex assets.

The role includes reviewing historical data, interviewing stakeholders, performing screenings for asbestos and radon, and writing clear, illustrated reports. Up to 50% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience executing Phase I/II ESAs under ASTM 1527.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) to identify RECs and other environmental concerns per ASTM and client scope.
• Review historical records, regulatory data, and data in accordance with project criteria.
• Conduct interviews with owners, occupants, and officials to collect information on conditions.
• Perform screenings for asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, and related contaminants; collect samples if needed.
• Prepare reports with exhibits and photos to illustrate findings.
• Coordinate access, utilities clearance, and field logistics for Phase II.
• Carry out research related to historic preservation, wetlands, and related topics.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate tasks within teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
