Job summary

Glanbia is seeking an EHS Specialist for an on-site role in Clovis, NM. You will lead safety initiatives, develop training, and manage environmental programs to ensure compliance and a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Industrial Safety or Industrial Hygiene and 3–5 years of plant experience in manufacturing. You will work with the EHS Director to implement company-wide safety improvements and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all safety initiatives, training development, risk assessment, and reporting.
• Develop and monitor site safety and environmental resources.
• Maintain training programs and a safety culture focused on an injury-free workplace.
• Evaluate corporate training materials to local needs.
• Coordinate updates to plant training, work instructions, and condition sheets.
• Collaborate with the Director of EHS to drive initiatives and change.
• Perform hazard analyses and support action plans to improve safety and environmental performance.
• Apply FSMA, SQF, FDA, and Pasteurized Milk Ordinance requirements.
• Uphold GPS processes and Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.

Job Summary

We are hiring an EHS Specialist who will be responsible for all aspects of plant safety, training and environmental programs. This is on onsite position in Clovis, NM.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of safety including compliance initiatives, training development, risk assessment, reporting, etc.
• Develop, utilize and monitor site safety and environmental resources to assure success.
• Develop and maintain training programs and a safety culture that promotes a workplace free of injuries, i.e. emergency response, qualified electrical, PSM, respiratory protection, etc.
• Evaluates utilization of corporate training process and material in conjunction with local needs.
• Develop and coordinate plan to update and maintain all plant training including work instructions and condition sheets.
• Work closely with Director of Environmental Health and Safety to implement company initiative and to lead change.
• Perform hazard analysis within plant location and assists plant management teams in the development and execution of action plans for the improvement of safety and environmental performance.
• Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.
• Comply with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates. (Food Safety Modernization Act- FSMA, Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)

• 3-5 years of plant experience in related industry / manufacturing environment
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
