HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to support environmental permitting for power transmission and generation projects in the Western United States, based in Colorado.

You will apply environmental analysis and permitting expertise, guiding projects through NEPA and related reporting in a collaborative, employee-owned culture. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
• 10+ years technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities.
• Technical and/or field experience dealing with environmental impact issues, permit processes and documentation.
• Commitment to active participation in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental permitting of power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S.
• Prepare permits and guide projects through the NEPA process and related documents.
• Collaborate with resource specialists, engineering teams, and clients to identify project needs.
• Develop and screen project alternatives and assess environmental and social impacts.
• Prepare technical reports, data collection and management, and GIS mapping as needed.
