HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to support environmental permitting for power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S.

The role emphasizes NEPA documentation, project coordination with engineers and clients, and developing mitigation commitments to ensure compliant, sustainable solutions. Applicants should bring a minimum of ten years' experience in environmental planning, strong writing skills, and the ability to work effectively within HDR's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities.
• Technical and/or field experience dealing with environmental impact issues, permit processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental permitting for power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S.
• Prepare permits, guide projects through NEPA and prepare related technical reports.
• Collaborate with resource specialists, engineering teams, and clients to identify project needs.
• Develop and screen project alternatives; assess environmental and social impacts; draft mitigation commitments.
