Job summary

HDR is seeking an Environmental Professional to support permitting of power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S., joining our Colorado team. You will apply environmental analysis to guide projects through NEPA and related permitting processes, collaborating with engineers, scientists, and clients to identify needs and deliver compliant solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
Minimum 5 years environmental experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities.
Active participation in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

Support environmental permitting for power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S.
Prepare NEPA documents and permits; guide projects through regulatory processes.
Collaborate with resource specialists, engineering teams and clients to identify project needs.
Develop project alternatives, assess environmental and social impacts, and propose mitigations.
Collect, organize, and manage data including geospatial mapping and government/ client interviews.
