HDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental Professional to support environmental permitting for power transmission and generation projects across the Western United States.

The role involves preparing studies, guiding projects through NEPA processes, and coordinating with engineers, resource specialists, and clients. Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in environmental planning, strong writing and communication skills, and experience with GIS/CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
• 10+ years technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities.
• Experience dealing with environmental impact issues, permit processes and documentation preparation/review.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental permitting of power transmission and generation projects in the Western U.S.
• Prepare NEPA documents and guide projects through permitting processes and requirements.
• Collaborate with resource specialists, engineering teams and clients to identify project needs.
• Develop and screen project alternatives, assess environmental impacts and prepare technical reports.
