Job summary

Pont Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Environmental Lead to direct environmental planning, NEPA documentation, and stakeholder coordination for transportation projects across Georgia and the Southeast.

You will lead EA/EIS development, manage regulatory interactions with agencies such as EPA, Army Corps, and state environmental offices, and ensure compliance with NEPA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act.

Qualifications

• BS in environmental field required; MS preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in environmental planning and documentation.
• Experience leading NEPA or environmental compliance projects.
• Experience managing GDOT or transportation environmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies (EPA, Army Corps, FWS).
• Ensure NEPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and ESA compliance.
• Manage environmental permits and regulatory clearances.
• Oversee ecology surveys and habitat assessments.
• Direct freshwater aquatic studies and biological inventories.
• Coordinate air quality and noise impact analysis.
• Lead wetland identification, delineation, and mitigation planning.
• Plan public information meetings and hearings.
• Develop public information materials and displays.
• Manage stakeholder communication and feedback.
• Prepare professional environmental reports and memoranda.
