Job summary
HNTB is seeking an environmental scientist to lead NEPA documentation and coordinate with major transportation clients across PA, NJ, DE, and MD. The role involves independent work, guiding junior staff, and ensuring timely, compliant environmental analyses within design teams.
You will oversee and support project managers through planning, design and permitting processes, contributing to winning proposals and ensuring client satisfaction on complex transportation projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years relevant experience or Master's with 7+ years relevant experience.
- Experience leading NEPA documentation and coordinating with clients and agencies.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate project teams on environmental analyses.
Responsibilities
- Lead data collection and analysis for projects.
- Develop and apply methodologies for environmental analyses.
- Prepare environmental reports and provide technical support to project managers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory design criteria and permits.
- Mentor staff and support business development efforts.
