Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Senior Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer to lead and grow the Environmental Services team from our Long Beach, CA office. This role blends leadership, business development, and technical execution across soil, groundwater, methane, and vapor intrusion remediation projects.

The Senior Environmental Professional will mentor staff, manage projects financially and technically, and help expand the ES practice while maintaining exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in an environmental-related science or engineering field.
• 12+ years of related work experience.
• 5+ years at an environmental consulting firm.
• Professional registration (P.E. or P.G.) required.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within indoor air, soil vapor, methane, soil, and groundwater assessment, mitigation, and remediation.
• Develop new and existing clients.
• Mentor and develop staff; assist in hiring when needed.
• Manage projects financially and technically; ensure quality.
• Review reports and mentor staff in report preparation.
• Support growth of ES practice in targeted areas.
