Job summary

EnSafe is seeking an Environmental Geologist or Engineer (Environmental Project Manager) to join our team in Long Beach or Concord, CA. This role leads diverse environmental investigations and remediation projects nationwide, collaborating with a multi-office team and offering relocation assistance.

The candidate will manage Phase I/II ESAs, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to client relationships and business development in California and beyond.

Qualifications

• BS degree from ABET-accredited college in Geology or Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Environmental).
• 5+ years environmental assessment/remediation experience.
• California GIT, EIT, or PG, PE licensure.
• Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Experience in multi-media environmental sampling; PFAS sampling a plus.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee project work for environmental investigations and remediation oversight.
• Coordinate technical teams across multiple offices; develop plans and specifications; meet clients and contractors.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Develop Work Plans and Sampling and Analysis Plans.
• Conduct soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion sampling.
• Lead ESAs Phase I and II; interpret data and write reports.
• Evaluate technologies, design pilot/bench tests, and remedial actions.
• Support business development and client relationships.
