Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to join our Long Beach ES team in a hybrid role. The position focuses on indoor air, soil vapor, methane, and groundwater assessment, mitigation, and remediation for western US projects.

You will lead technical and project management activities, grow client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to the strategic direction of our ES practice while delivering high-quality service to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in an environmental related science or engineering field required.
• 8-12+ years of related work experience required.
• 5+ years working at an environmental consulting firm required.
• Professional registration (P.E. or P.G.) required in the state of CA.
• Track record in designing and implementing mitigation/remedial measures for various project sites.
• Experience with various methane ordinances throughout Southern California preferred.
• Business Development experience preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within indoor air, soil vapor, methane, soil and groundwater assessment, mitigation, and remediation.
• Develop new and existing clients and assist in staff utilization and development.
• Manage projects financially and technically and provide mentorship on report preparation.
• Serve as a Seller-Doer, expanding client relationships and cross-selling services.
• Collaborate with national experts to resolve environmental challenges for clients.

The senior environmental professional will wear several hats, including project financial responsibility, help grow the ES Practice, and serve as a Seller-Doer. As appropriate, you will also manage staff.

As a Senior Professional, you will contribute to our growth by:

• Providing leadership within our indoor air, soil vapor, methane, soil, and groundwater assessment, mitigation, and remediation practice area and also help to grow and expand this practice area.
• Developing new and existing clients
• Assisting in staff utilization, mentoring, and development and, as needed, support the addition of new staff.
• Managing and being financially and technically responsible for projects
• Provide technical review of reports and mentorship/development of staff report preparation

As a Seller you will contribute to our growth by:

• Playing a leading role in new client acquisition
• Effective communication with existing clients and cross-selling of services
• Collaborating with us as we develop strategies for expanding ways in which we contribute to our clients’ success
• Drafting and reviewing proposals
• Enhancing the value of the services that we perform for existing clients
• Seeking ways to increase project revenues, profits, as well add to the ES staff
