Job summary

Dewberry seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer/Senior Project Manager for our Parsippany, NJ office to lead environmental remediation projects across NJ, NY, and PA. You will manage site investigations, remedial design and actions, coordinating a team of engineers, scientists, and field staff.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, a PE license, OSHA cert, and strong client development skills, with hands-on field sampling and regulatory coordination.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum 15 years of experience.
• PE license is required.
• New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) a plus.
• OSHA 40-hour certification with an 8-hour refresher.
• Strong hydrogeological skills with a track record in business development.
• Evaluates subsurface aquifer properties and pollutant movement.
• Ability to evaluate complex data.
• Knowledge of NJDEP/ NYSDEC/ NYCDEP/ PADEP requirements a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Drafts technical reports and memos.
• Field sampling and contractor oversight in NJ/NY/PA.

Responsibilities

• Work with staff to develop strategic directions for site investigation and remediation and support litigation efforts.
• Negotiate with regulatory agencies and manage compliance with orders, directives, and permits.
• Assign tasks to engineers, scientists, technicians, or staff.
• Interact with clients in the field, meetings, and conference calls.
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of work.
• Prepare and manage scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Lead and assist with proposals and budgets.
• Meet project, client, and regulatory deadlines.
• Oversee field sampling and contractor activities in NJ, NY, and PA.
• Other duties as required.
