Dewberry seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer/Senior Project Manager for our Parsippany, NJ office to lead environmental remediation projects across NJ, NY, and PA. You will manage site investigations, remedial design and actions, coordinating a team of engineers, scientists, and field staff.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, a PE license, OSHA cert, and strong client development skills, with hands-on field sampling and regulatory coordination.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related degree.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience.

  • New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) a plus.
  • OSHA 40-hour certification with an 8-hour refresher.

  • Evaluates subsurface aquifer properties and pollutant movement.
  • Ability to evaluate complex data.
  • Knowledge of NJDEP/ NYSDEC/ NYCDEP/ PADEP requirements a plus.

Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Senior Project Manager for ourParsippany, NJoffice. This senior professional will perform a variety of environmental tasks in support ofenvironmental remediation projects, including developing long-range remedial solutions and strategies to reduce environmental risk. Projects are primarily located in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania; the position includes support to other Dewberry offices in the U.S.Responsibilities include: the site/remedial investigation, remedial project design, and implementation of remedial actions pursuant to regulatory agency and/or company direction.

The SeniorProfessional must be flexible, client focused and capable of working independently, while supporting a team that includes engineers, scientists, and field personnel. The work required is diverse and ranges from coordination of field inspection and soil/groundwater sampling to technical work that requires strong communication skills and knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Adobe Acrobat. Current OSHA 40-hour certification and/or other applicable certification preferred. New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) preferred..

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • The ideal candidate must possess strong hydrogeological technical skills alongside a proven track record of securing new clients and leading successful business development initiatives
  • Conduct advanced evaluations of subsurface soil and rock strata to characterize aquifer properties and predict pollutant movement or groundwater flow
  • Capacity to evaluate complex data
  • Working knowledge of NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYCDEP and/or PADEP requirements a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency review staff.
  • Composes technical reports, memoranda, and other written communication.
  • Handles multiple concurrent projects.
  • Responsible for field sampling and contractor oversight at locations in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
  • Proficiency with basic MS Office software
  • Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $157,150 to $203,963 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for Parsippany, NJ only.
