Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a senior Environmental Engineer to lead investigation and remediation projects across NJ, PA, and NY metro areas. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage field programs, and deliver technical reports while ensuring regulatory compliance.

In this hybrid role, you’ll mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients, and contribute to the development of your team’s capabilities. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil, Environmental, Geoenvironmental or Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Possession, eligibility or progress toward PE and/or LSRP license.
• Experience with project management, client relations, and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead/oversee engineering tasks for Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Remedial Designs/Actions, and post-remediation OM&M.
• Provide engineering support for soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater remediation.
• Oversee field and project documentation, track scope, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as client contact; communicate findings and regulatory issues; collaborate with LSRPs/technical leads.
• Coordinate finalization of technical/regulatory documents per NJ ARRCS; mentor junior staff.
