Job summary

The Alaska District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking an Interdisciplinary Supervisory professional in the Engineering Division, Environmental and Special Programs Branch, Environmental Engineering Section, located at Elmendorf AFB, AK.

The ideal candidate will lead a team of environmental professionals, oversee site investigations and remediation, environmental compliance, and cost estimating, while directing contracting actions and providing strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

Experience in contaminated site investigations and remediation
Experience with environmental compliance
Experience with cost estimating
Experience with contracting and supervision
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Supervises and directs the activities of technical staff including environmental engineers, scientists, and chemists
Provides leadership, guidance, priorities, and work distribution
Reviews project budget estimates, project schedules, and multiple technical work products
Oversees multidisciplinary engineering activities, acquisitions and contracting actions
Participates in selection, negotiation, management, and evaluation of A-E contractor performance
Provides independent technical reviews for quality assurance/quality control
Serves as point of contact for project managers and facilitates resolution of project issues
