Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks an Environmental Engineer Level 3 within the Bureau of Engineering Design & Construction to oversee the Wastewater Capital Program (WWCP) design and construction for WRRF upgrades, CSO projects, and related pump station work across the city.

The AM will coordinate with DEP bureaus, state agencies, and contractors, manage schedules and budgets, ensure environmental health and safety throughout project lifecycles, and report progress to

Qualifications

Valid NYS Professional Engineer license with four years of full-time environmental engineering experience.
Master's degree in environmental engineering or equivalent to one year of experience.
Permanent Civil Service status may be required for advanced assignments.

Responsibilities

Oversee design and construction of WWCP projects for BWT/BWS and WRRFs.
Coordinate with multiple DEP bureaus, state agencies, and contractors.
Ensure Environmental Health & Safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and negotiate modifications to consultant contracts and schedules.
