Job summary

Terracon is seeking a senior environmental engineering professional in Omaha, NE to lead complex investigations, design and evaluation efforts for diverse environmental projects. The role requires strong technical direction, quality control, and the ability to communicate findings to clients and regulatory agencies.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Environmental/Civil Engineering or related field, 8–11 years of industry experience, and preferably a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–11 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company.
• Responsible for continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor and promote quality standards and practices.
• Responsible for providing consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
• Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
• Senior level environmental engineering professional responsible for leading complex or unique projects requiring innovative investigation techniques.
• Supervise the analysis and formation of recommendations in written reports.
• Assist in establishing and updating current policies/ procedures for technical projects in field of expertise, to ensure proper interpretation and implementation by subordinate staff.
• Provide technical direction and training to less experience professional staff.
• Participate in the development of marketing strategies and presentations of qualifications to clients on projects.
• Serves as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related degree

Master's degree in Environmental Engineering (preferred)
