Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, based in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Senior Project Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to lead environmental projects and proposals. The position focuses on managing investigations, supervising field work, and delivering solutions that restore and protect the environment.

The candidate should bring 10+ years of relevant experience, hold a PG or PE license, and demonstrate strong leadership and client-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related science.
• Active PG or PE license required; PG/PE preferred.
• 10+ years of environmental investigation/remediation experience.
• Strong regulatory knowledge: EPA, CERCLA, RCRA.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses for environmental projects and investigations.
• Pursue new clients and opportunities; support business development.
• Oversee and mentor junior staff on projects and field work.
• Supervise field activities and ensure proper data collection and lab work.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and invoicing for multiple projects.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and technical documents.
• Coordinate work across offices and disciplines as needed.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Perform other duties as requested.
