S&ME, based in Tampa, Florida, seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist to lead and support environmental due diligence, site investigation, and remediation projects with a mix of fieldwork and office tasks. You will guide project execution, mentor staff, and expand client relationships in the local market.

The role emphasizes technical oversight, reporting, and business development, with opportunities to advance in a growing practice within a 1,000+ employee-owners firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional environmental engineering or geology experience.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent business development abilities; existing client relationships in the local market preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, drilling operations, and monitoring well installation.
• Analyze environmental data and contribute to technical reports and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate on project planning and execution to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare proposals, manage project schedules, and track deadlines.
• Evaluate budgets and support business development initiatives.
