Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Staff Environmental Engineer, Scientist or Geologist to join our team in Tampa or St. Petersburg, FL.

The role involves site exploration activities, including soil borings and monitoring well installations, field testing, data collection, and compiling reports as part of remediation and environmental due diligence. You will work on diverse projects aimed at restoring environments and returning blighted properties to productive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology.
• 4+ years of related experience in contaminated sites investigation, engineering feasibility studies, remedial and mitigation system design and construction oversight.
• Experience with Phase I, II and III environmental site assessments and groundwater treatment design is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations including field tests and data collection.
• Monitor complex construction projects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collect soil, soil vapor, indoor/outdoor air, sediment, surface water and groundwater samples.
• Operate and maintain groundwater and soil vapor treatment systems.
• Assist with regulatory permits to support site investigation and remediation.
• Prepare engineering documents, logs, and reports; manage budgets and schedules.
