Job summary

Langan is seeking a Staff Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join the Princeton Office.

You will participate in site exploration activities including contaminated site investigation, remediation work, soil and groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion investigation, remedial investigation, design, implementation, monitoring, pilot tests, data management, processing, evaluation, and report preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• 0–2 years of work-related experience; internships preferred.
• EIT Certification or FE exam registration preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and environmental investigations.
• Perform air, soil, gas, groundwater sampling and remediation of contaminated properties.
• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data.
• Field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with job specifications.
• Identify and implement solutions to both routine and complex field and/or laboratory problems and document results; communicate with supervisor on issues.
• Assist in bench-scale treatability testing to support remedial designs.
• Assist in evaluation of remedial alternatives and preparation of remedial designs.
• Assist with preparation of technical reports, specifications, and plans; data management and evaluation; and environmental assessment and remediation.
• Perform other duties as requested.
