Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Environmental Engineer II to lead environmental compliance efforts across its Merritt Island facility. You will drive programs, manage regulatory reporting, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal environmental laws.

The role emphasizes development of compliant policies, data management, and proactive environmental stewardship within a safety-focused culture at the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with environmental regulatory monitoring and compliance.
• Familiarity with CAA, CWA, RCRA, NEPA and related reporting (emissions, Tier II, TRI).
• Ability to develop and implement environmental compliance policies and training.
• Strong written and verbal communication of regulatory requirements.
• Self-driven with the ability to plan and execute with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drive environmental compliance efforts across the site.
• Develop and implement environmental programs and policies.
• Enhance programs for data management and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Support Air, Hazardous Waste, Wastewater, and Stormwater programs in daily activities.
• Provide oversight of environmental subcontractors and field inspections.
