Job summary

FPC National in Richmond, VA is seeking an Environmental Engineer to partner with the Site EHS Manager and leadership to ensure compliance with environmental regulations while supporting sustainability and safe chemical manufacturing.

You will provide expertise in permitting, incident investigations, risk management, and continuous improvement, lead audits, and drive corrective actions across site operations, reporting to the EHS Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of environmental compliance experience in process industries.
• Experience with RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA, TRI, SPCC, and related programs.
• Experience preparing regulatory reports.
• Knowledge of industrial chemical processes and environmental risks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local environmental programs.
• Provide oversight of air, wastewater, stormwater permits, and reporting.
• Prepare and submit TRI, Tier II, emissions inventories, and other reports.
• Lead investigations of environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support MOC processes for new equipment and process changes.
• Promote sustainability and continuous improvement at the site.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory inspections.
