Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company, is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to administer the plant environmental program in compliance with federal and state environmental laws. You will lead safety initiatives, liaise with regulators, and coordinate with production to ensure emissions limits are met.

The role involves preparing reports, renewals, and surveys, obtaining samples for monitoring, and advancing the site’s ISO 14001 and sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 year/Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other technically related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental field in cement/mining related industries with regulatory agencies.
• Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies during inspections and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure compliance with environmental permits and laws.
• Prepare environmental reports, renewals, questionnaires, and surveys.
• Obtain samples and data for discharge monitoring reports.
• Review emissions data and coordinate with production and maintenance to maintain limits.
• Manage stack testing scope, proposals, and on-site contractor oversight.
• Audit data acquisition and compliance systems and recommend improvements.
