Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, is seeking a Quality Manager to supervise plant laboratory activities, oversee quality control, and ensure accurate material proportioning in cement manufacturing. The role requires leadership to support production quality and safety across a 24-hour operation.

The position emphasizes lab management, data interpretation, and collaboration with plant management to maintain product standards and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum 4-year/bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years experience as Assistant Chief Chemist or similar in cement manufacturing or related industry.
• Prefer 3 years supervisory experience in a lab or related field.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Ensure efficient plant quality control procedures.
• Monitor quality control and collaborate with management on improvements.
• Assign responsibilities to plant laboratory personnel.
• Supervise laboratory staff and maintain safety standards.
• Review cement and raw material data and translate into process actions.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
