Job summary

Earthjustice seeks a collaborative and experienced Senior Attorney to join our enforcement group. The role leads federal enforcement cases, shapes strategic plans, and builds infrastructure across the organization.

Expect to work with clients, attorneys, and partners in a cross-organizational effort to protect land, air, and water. You will report to the Director of Enforcement, help mentor staff, and travel as needed for case work and appearances.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years litigating complex matters, including e-discovery and trial.
• Experience in environmental enforcement litigation is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage a litigation docket and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Case development and litigation: investigate, develop, and pursue enforcement cases; lead complex litigation tasks including discovery, motions, and trial; collaborate on strategy and project management.
• Building enforcement infrastructure: plan strategically, establish metrics, develop resources, and train staff in enforcement techniques.
• External engagement and communications: develop media and legislative strategies and engage journalists to advance enforcement goals.
