Job summary

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Omaha, Nebraska seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead complex HTW and water systems design and review, applying advanced physical, chemical, and biological process expertise to protect water quality and safely destroy hazardous wastes.

You will perform investigations to define scope and feasibility, research innovative solutions, and advise Construction Division and regulatory agencies during the construction phase.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with ABET accreditation or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer licensure or EI/EIT status.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam completion or equivalent.
• One year of specialized experience in site remediation and waste cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex HTW and water systems design and review.
• Apply specialized knowledge of water resources and waste destruction.
• Perform investigations to determine process feasibility and scope.
• Research design manuals and technical resources for innovative solutions.
• Advise Construction Division and regulatory agencies during construction phase.
