Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel – Environmental Litigation & Regulatory to provide legal guidance on environmental, regulatory, and toxic tort matters across the company. You will manage litigation and regulatory investigations, advise cross-functional teams on compliance, and oversee outside counsel.

Overnight travel outside Arizona may be required. The ideal candidate has a JD, 7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, and a proven ability to navigate federal, state,

Qualifications

• JD; licensed to practice law and in good standing.
• Minimum seven years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Experience in large multi-state corporate environment; in-house counsel preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental and related matters including CERCLA, toxic tort, and liability claims.
• Provide legal guidance to cross-functional teams on compliance and regulatory actions.
• Oversee outside counsel and internal resources; manage budgets and reserves.
• Support all phases of litigation and regulatory proceedings, including depositions and trials.
• Travel as required, including overnight stays outside Arizona.
