Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an experienced environmental counsel to lead the legal aspects of environmental risks, liabilities, transactions and compliance across business segments and the corporate EHS function. This role is based at Parker’s Global Headquarters in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, and reports to the Associate General Counsel.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in one or more appropriate jurisdictions.
• Five or more years of relevant, progressive experience as a practicing lawyer.
• Ability to independently perform each essential function with skill and efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to simplify complex issues and facilitate across regions and cultures.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving aligned with client objectives.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and develop practical legal solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal aspects of environmental risks, liabilities, transactions and compliance.
• Operate as a trusted business partner supporting Parker strategies and value creation.
• Collaborate with Legal Department and external advisors to resolve legal challenges.
• Lead and participate in Legal Department and Practice Area strategy deployment and improvements.
• Coordinate and direct external counsel and other third-party providers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
