Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in an environmental, science, or related discipline.
• Minimum eight years of environmental experience with an associate degree or six years with a bachelor's.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical demand ranges from sedentary to light duty.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement all environmental activities and policies in the assigned region to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations and Company policies, standards, procedures and strategic environmental goals. Assist and provide input to Environmental Services on the development of Company environmental policies and procedures. Communicate deviations appropriately.
• Provide training, instruction and assistance to others on the implementation of environmental requirements and assist in the development of environmental training materials.
• Provide support in the event of a release or discharge of a regulated substance including making agency notifications, arranging contractor support, directing cleanup efforts if necessary and completing follow-up reports with regulatory agencies.
• Promote and enforce (see something, say something, do something) safe work practices to safeguard employees, contractors, the general public, and Company facilities.
• Provide support during environmental compliance reviews, Phase I or II environmental site assessments and remediation projects.
• Coordinate and respond to public inquiries regarding environmental matters. As well as effectively communicate environmental compliance issues to appropriate internal parties.
• Develop and maintain environmental documents and records in accordance with environmental content management standards.
• Conduct environmental reviews of regional disposal contractors and related facilities and manage contracts associated with Environmental Services.
