Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Mgr, EAP to establish a unified environmental compliance vision across business units and drive multi-year plans.

You will manage budgets, governance, and KPI frameworks while ensuring accountability across senior stakeholders. The role requires deep regulatory expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to translate complex requirements for executive, operational, and legal audiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance or related field work including engaging with external stakeholders experience
• 7+ years of team management with 5 or more direct reports experience
• Experience with program management spanning planning, execution and project delivery
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• Experience working with and managing third party vendors
• Bachelor’s degree in the Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field of study
• Experience holding internal and external stakeholders accountable to program milestones through structured controllership and governance mechanisms
• (Preferred) Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences/Engineering
• (Preferred) CHMM/REM or equivalent certification
• (Preferred) ISO 14001 design/implementation/certification

Responsibilities

• Establish cross-organizational alignment on a unified environmental compliance vision
• Own the strategic program roadmap including media specific compliance programs and field execution frameworks
• Develop and govern multi-year operating plans, program budgets, and resource allocation strategies
• Build and operate program controllership mechanisms to drive speed, quality, and accountability
• Communicate compliance strategy, status, and risks to Director and VP-level audiences across functions
• Partner with Legal, regulators, environmental consultants, and technology teams to resolve barriers and accelerate solutions
• Define and govern KPI and compliance metric frameworks for real-time visibility
• Lead talent management, including hiring, onboarding, and development planning
• Oversee work performed by contractors and vendors with audits and governance
• Operate autonomously in ambiguous regulatory environments to deliver compliance outcomes
• Embed environmental objectives into day-to-day operations
