Medtronic is seeking a Principal Environmental Specialist in North Haven, CT to lead regulatory environmental programs. Responsibilities include managing wastewater, stormwater, air emissions, EPCRA reporting, and related documentation, while driving training and awareness across the site.

The role reports to the Senior EHS Manager and involves collaboration with manufacturing, R&D, and operations to ensure compliance and minimize environmental impact. In-person onsite work is required.

Competenze

• Regulatory compliance in environmental programs (water, air, SPCC, SPCP, SMP, EPCRA) and associated reporting.
• Experience preparing and presenting environmental training materials and alerts.
• Maintain regulatory and company documentation, reports, inspections, and sampling as required.

Mansioni

• Manage compliance to environmental regulatory programs (wastewater, stormwater, air emissions, SPCC, SPCP, SMP, USTs, EPCRA reporting, ozone depleting substances).
• Promote employee awareness and provide training on regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports (air emissions, EPCRA 312/313, DMRs, SMRs) and coordinate inspections.
• Evaluate new projects for regulatory impact and permit changes.
• Communicate regulatory requirements to site leadership and develop implementation plans.
• Co-lead Environmental Action Group and drive continuous improvement.
• Work with management to ensure regulatory compliance and resolve issues.
• Investigate environmental incidents with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor pollution prevention, reduce waste, energy, and water usage.
