Job summary

Generac is seeking a Senior Corporate Environmental Specialist to advance the company’s global environmental compliance and EMS programs. You will partner with manufacturing sites to translate complex regulations into practical, compliant actions on the factory floor.

You will lead audits, support permit filings, and drive improvements across multiple facilities while collaborating with plant managers, operations, and EHS teams to ensure proactive risk reduction and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Ability to travel locally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for environmental programs across multiple facilities.
• Interpret and translate regulations into practical site plans.
• Lead compliance assessments, inspections, and program reviews (air, hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, etc.).
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA planning.
• Coordinate with regulators and inspections; support permits and filings.
• Partner with plant management and engineers to implement environmental requirements on the factory floor.
• Drive continuous improvement of EMS and ISO 14001 initiatives across sites.
• Develop and deliver environmental training for site personnel and leadership.
