Job summary

WSB and Associates seeks a Sr. Specialist in Environmental Compliance to provide advanced regulatory support across transportation, municipal, and construction projects. You will review permits, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to environmental commitments and regulatory requirements.

You will lead SWPPP development, coordinate with agencies and clients, and mentor junior staff while staying current with evolving regulations. This is a field-heavy, full-time role based in Minnesota.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; related experience considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive environmental compliance, permitting, or stormwater experience.
Ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations and permits.
Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and project teams.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical and regulatory support for environmental compliance programs and projects.
Interpret and apply environmental regulations, permit requirements, and agency guidance.
Coordinate SWPPP development, permitting, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
Review environmental plans, permit applications, and related project documentation.
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with permits and commitments.
Perform water quality monitoring and field investigations.
Maintain environmental records, permit files, and regulatory correspondence.
Assist in developing environmental procedures and training junior staff.
