Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a GMP-regulated environment.
• Experience applying environmental regulations and developing environmental programs.

Responsibilities

• Own, develop, and lead implementation of the environmental operational readiness plan for the Lilly Richmond facility.
• Partner with the project team as the accountable environmental stakeholder, shaping environmental decisions for design, construction, and startup.
• Develop and roll out environmental programs, procedures, tools, and overall management systems, including training and onboarding of staff.
• Lead the partnership with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to govern change and ensure safety and compliance of new systems.
• Coordinate and complete internal and external regulatory reporting on time, with second-person verification as needed.
• Serve as the expert for regulatory requirements of assigned areas and programs; implement compliant solutions.
• Monitor emerging regulations and Lilly Global HSE standards; drive implementation plans.
• Lead internal HSE assessments and support incident investigations with root-cause analysis.
