Job summary

Lilly is building a new Manufacturing Facility in Goochland County, Virginia, and seeks a Facilities Engineer to support the startup and ongoing GMP operations. The role emphasizes maintenance program leadership, vendor coordination, and asset management to ensure compliant, safe, and efficient facility performance.

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in facility/maintenance engineering, and capability to lead cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Facility or Maintenance Engineering Teams, preferably in a manufacturing GMP environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor work authorization.
• LEED Certification preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services and facility management programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contract for facility management and maintenance services.
• Manage external contractors to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical leadership in facility maintenance and develop systems, processes, and best practices.
• Lead asset management, recapitalization planning, and cost- reduction opportunities.
