Job summary

Onterris Payroll, LLC is seeking an Environmental Compliance Lead in North Carolina to drive hazardous waste programs, EPCRA reporting, and client compliance strategies. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring regulatory adherence and high-quality deliverables across projects.

The role requires 10+ years in environmental consulting, with 3+ years in people management, and strong knowledge of EPCRA/RCRA. A PE license or related credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of environmental consulting experience, including 3+ years of people management.
• Strong knowledge of EPCRA, RCRA, hazardous materials/waste, and related regulations.
• Experience with environmental compliance assessments and waste determinations.
• Proven project management skills across multiple projects.
• Ability to lead, delegate, and mentor environmental professionals.
• Experience managing client relationships and providing advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit EPCRA reporting (Tier II, TRI, etc.).
• Provide technical leadership for hazardous waste and materials management.
• Conduct waste determinations for proper classification and disposal.
• Track regulatory changes and assess impacts on operations.
• Lead and develop a team of environmental professionals.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and compliance.
• Act as primary client contact with strategic accounts.
