Job summary

Onterris Payroll, LLC seeks an experienced Environmental Compliance Leader to direct EPA EPCRA programs, hazardous waste management, and client-facing compliance activities from Tampa, FL. You will mentor a team, manage multiple concurrent projects, and ensure regulatory alignment across programs.

You will prepare reports, permits, and executive briefings while guiding pricing, proposals, and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of environmental consulting experience, including 3+ years of people management and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including EPCRA, RCRA, hazardous materials/waste, wastewater, pollution prevention, and solid waste management.
• Experience with environmental compliance assessments, waste stream determinations, compliance management plans, and multimedia environmental programs.
• Proven project management skills, including managing multiple projects, budgets, priorities, and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, delegate, mentor, and develop environmental professionals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information, develop solutions, and work independently with minimal oversight.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
• Experience leading or supporting proposals for environmental compliance, planning, remediation, or related consulting services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business software.

Responsibilities

• Lead EPCRA reporting (Tier II, TRI) and hazardous waste management.
• Mentor and develop a team of environmental professionals.
• Manage multiple environmental compliance projects for scope, schedule, budget.
• Serve as primary contact for a strategic client and build relationships.
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and executive briefings.
• Oversee project financials including invoicing and subcontractor payments.
• Support business development through proposals and capture activities.
• Develop level-of-effort estimates for pricing and proposals.
