Onterris is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to lead environmental response efforts, manage projects, and coordinate with clients and regulators. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality data, plans, and reports in fast-paced environments.

The position requires extensive field experience, REM/CEP/CHMM certification where applicable, and strong leadership in environmental projects. Travel and on-site deployments are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemistry, biology, geology, or related science, plus 8+ years of field experience.
• Master’s degree preferred in environmental science, chemistry, biology, geology, or related field.
• Recognized environmental certification (REM/CEP/CHMM) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs as an environmental consultant on emergency response projects, potentially acting as Project Manager or Environmental Unit Lead.
• Assumes key roles during responses, coordinating with client and agency personnel.
• Maintains readiness and provides training, equipment maintenance, and documentation templates.
