Job summary

Dyno Nobel Inc. in Kentucky seeks an experienced Environmental Manager to lead local environmental compliance programs and ensure adherence to regulations across operations. You will oversee reporting to government agencies, implement policies, and guide projects requiring capital investment to meet legal and business goals.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. or higher in a technical field (CHMM preferred) with 7+ years of regulatory experience in chemical industries, plus strong project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physical Science, Environmental Science or related technical field; CHMM preferred.
• 7+ years experience with environmental regulations relating to chemical industries.
• Technical understanding of chemical manufacturing and processes.
• Project management competency with advanced computer skills (including MS Office, Teams, SAP).
• Knowledge of local/state/federal environmental regulations; experience with NPDES, EPCRA, SPCC, SWPPP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all required reports are completed and submitted to government agencies as required.
• Review new and existing environmental regulations and advise management to ensure full compliance.
• Monitor compliance through review of reports and documents submitted to regulatory agencies.
• Advise on anticipated regulatory changes and prepare compliance strategies requiring capital investment or cost impacts.
• Assist Engineering and Operations in planning for regulatory compliance for new or modified operations.
• Conduct training for operating personnel on regulatory, safety and business needs.
• Draft or assist in permit applications and responses to notices from environmental agencies.
• Obtain Legal input on major permits and compliance issues to assure full compliance.
