Job summary

Dyno Nobel seeks an Environmental Manager to lead local implementation of environmental compliance and related programs. You will oversee adherence to environmental regulations and guide the company on regulatory changes, while coordinating with engineering, operations, and legal to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires strong project management, technical understanding of chemical processes, and experience with reporting to government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field; CHMM preferred.
• 7+ years of experience with environmental regulations in chemical industries.
• Ability to read general engineering drawings and manage permit processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all required reports are completed and submitted to government agencies.
• Review and advise on new/existing environmental regulations to ensure full compliance.
• Monitor regulatory compliance through discharge and waste reporting and other regulatory documents.
• Develop compliance strategies that align with business goals and capital requirements.
• Assist Engineering/Operations with planning for regulatory compliance for new or modified operations.
• Conduct training for operating personnel on regulatory, safety, and business needs.
• Draft permit applications and respond to notices or deficiency reports from environmental agencies.
• Collaborate with Legal to obtain input on major permits and compliance matters.
