Dyno Nobel, in Kentucky, seeks an Explosives Safety and Compliance Manager to lead DoW explosives safety, ATF compliance, and government interface activities for explosive materials manufacturing.

You will provide technical leadership on safety standards and regulatory compliance, coordinating with legal, operations, and regulators to ensure safe, compliant operations and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in DoW or DoW contractor explosives safety, ammunition safety, or energetic materials management.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of DoDM 4145.26 and/or DESR 6055.09 - Experience with DoDM5100.76 a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with conducting explosives safety and compliance assessments.
• Experience working with government customers, contractors, and regulators.
• Experience with Quantity-Distance (QD) principles and explosives site planning a plus.
• Experience with EAR, ITAR, and DDTC a plus.
• Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate DoW explosives safety and ATF compliance.
• Maintain Explosives Safety Site Plan (ESSP) and site security planning.
• Conduct safety assessments of manufacturing facilities (production, packaging, storage).
• Coordinate with defense government agencies and regulators as needed.
• Provide training on ESMP and security plans to employees and management.
• Support licensing/permits with state and local authorities.
• Investigate mishaps and theft/loss incidents per DoD and ATF requirements.
