W.R. Grace & Co. in Columbia, MD is seeking a Sr. Environmental Specialist to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations while driving environmental stewardship across the site.

The role partners with R&D, Engineering and corporate leadership and emphasizes management of permits, reporting, and continuous improvement of the environmental management system at Grace's Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of environmental compliance experience in chemical manufacturing or related settings.
• Experience managing permitting programs, reporting, and agency interactions.
• Knowledge of RCRA, air/water permitting, stormwater, and auditing practices.
• Experience with MOC processes.
• Ability to work independently and communicate across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permits.
• Manage permits, reporting, emissions inventories, and regulatory submissions.
• Serve as environmental SME for air permitting, waste, and wastewater compliance.
• Lead ISO 14001 and environmental performance metrics initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and leadership on environmental aspects of projects.
• Support ESG initiatives including GHG tracking and sustainability reporting.
• Develop and monitor environmental KPIs and compliance metrics.
