Job summary

Magnolia Oil & Gas in Houston seeks an Environmental & Air Specialist to lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of environmental compliance and performance programs. You will serve as the primary expert for air regulations affecting upstream oil and gas operations and drive emissions management, GHG reporting, and regulatory compliance across the company.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Regulatory, and HSER teams to embed environmental requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of upstream oil & gas environmental compliance experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of air regulations and emissions reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead development and continuous improvement of environmental compliance and performance programs.
Serve as SME for air regulations affecting upstream oil and gas operations.
Develop and maintain environmental management systems, standards, and procedures.
Oversee air permitting, emissions, and greenhouse gas reporting programs.
Coordinate with consultants for permitting, emissions calculations, and regulatory reporting.
Oversee LDAR programs, monitoring strategies, and data analysis.
Analyze environmental data to identify trends and improvement actions.
Develop environmental metrics and reporting tools for leadership and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Regulatory, Land, and HSER teams to integrate requirements.
Support environmental audits, inspections, and due diligence.
