Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to support regulatory analyses, develop and maintain compliance systems, and ensure reporting requirements are met from the Houston area campus.

The role focuses on Upstream and Low Carbon initiatives, with responsibilities distributed across environmental data analysis, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to drive compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical or Environmental preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting Oil and Gas Upstream and Unconventional Assets.
• Demonstrated knowledge of emissions calculations and methodology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EPA and Texas environmental programs (e.g. Air Emissions Inventory, Title V, NSPS, GHG, TRI, SPCC, Spill Reporting).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal & State of New Mexico environmental regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP, PowerBI, or other business productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance support to operations, including analysis of environmental regulations and applicability determinations
• Support the review of physical and operational changes to ensure compliance with assigned regulations, utilizing existing best practices or implementing new best practices
• Complete internal and external reporting obligations for assigned reports/requirements.
• Support compliance assurance processes for assigned programs (e.g. Air Emissions Inventory, Title V, NSPS, GHG, TRI, SPCC, Spill Reporting) including, Regulatory Analysis, Regulatory Interpretations and Guidance and Compliance Support Tools (e.g. checklists, workshops, manuals, databases)
• Manage agency enforcement actions as necessary using available SSHE and Law resources
• Coordinate internal Corporate Environmental Reporting
