Job summary

NBCUniversal seeks a Manager, Ride/Show Engineering to provide technical management for attractions, overseeing SAE systems, mechanical show elements, and related integration with show operations.

The role emphasizes design, production, shipping/logistics, installation, and acceptance testing, with coordination across multiple subsystems and environmental health and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable technical field.
• 5 years' experience in theme park engineering roles including mechanical show systems, SAE, animatronics, or special effects hardware.
• Development of RFPs and vendor management preferred.
• On-site: full-time from NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Responsibilities

• Manages in-field installation, test and adjustment of show and ride systems, focusing on SAE hardware.
• Reviews designs and contractor documentation for compliance with specifications.
• Creates scope of work documentation and awards contracts to vendors.
• Leads design and production reviews at vendor locations.
• Develops and oversees project schedules and budgets.
• Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
