Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior IT Wireless Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise WLAN across SpaceX sites. You will lead wireless design, surveys, troubleshooting, and documentation efforts to ensure robust network performance for critical aerospace programs.

The role requires strong RF expertise, CBRS experience, and hands-on proficiency with Cisco WLC/DNA Center, Ekahau, and monitoring tools. Some travel and extended hours may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other engineering discipline and 5+ years professional network engineering experience; OR 7+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design access point placements for new wireless network deployments.
• Work closely with the network infrastructure team to ensure access points are deployed in desired locations and to our standards.
• Perform wireless surveys to identify coverage gaps/performance concerns and implement remediation efforts.
• Troubleshoot wireless issues across a large enterprise deployment.
• Schedule and perform software and hardware updates.
• Procure and manage wireless hardware inventory.
• Monitor wireless network health using in-house and 3rd party tools.
• Create and maintain proper documentation of our wireless networks across all sites.
